I have always had an interest in health and wellness and a great appreciation for the power of food for maximizing our overall well-being. Having the opportunity to apply my education, training, previous work and personal experiences to supporting others professionally has been extremely rewarding. I am thrilled by the success of my clients related to such goals as weight loss, increased energy, and improved levels of health and happiness.
Building on a background in counseling, including a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work, my training in nutrition and health is from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), associated with Columbia University in New York City. IIN is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods.
I am an enthusiastic natural foods cook and have completed the core program in Health-Supportive Cooking at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Food & Health in Manhattan. I am also trained in energy healing modalities including Reiki and Psych-K.
As the working mother of two young children, I understand how challenging it can be to manage a busy schedule while maintaining good habits of self-care. My passion is for supporting people in their quest to develop an approach to healthy living that will ensure they have the opportunity to live their very best life.
