Nourishing & Delicious Chicken Stock

Your grandmother was right—there is nothing like chicken soup for boosting immunity and helping to activate our natural defenses. Making a stock at home, using bones, some pieces of meat and fat, vegetables and filtered water is the best way to ensure maximum benefits. This kind of food remedy can be kept on hand for frequent use during the cold and flu season. According to the highly-esteemed nutrition researcher, Sally Fallon, stock contains minerals in a form the body can absorb easily, including calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, silicon, sulphur and trace minerals. Recipe: Wellness Elixir

This is a seriously powerful immune-boosting formula that can be used up to three times a day when you’re feeling at risk of coming down with something big.  This drink has antibacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal properties. The cayenne ensures it’s also very warming, which is always helpful when you’re ill. This recipe will provide enough for several mugs-worth of elixir. More honey would disguise the taste (which I admit, isn’t great, but it’s worth it for the effect you’ll get…maybe this will help you be more motivated to take better care of yourself in the future so so you don’t get to this point ♥ ).
